The ARC system simplifies the process of getting a firearm back into working condition with ONLY 1 hand.
A lot of individual's try plan for worse case scenario's. One such scenario is having to fix a firearm that is out of battery. Whether you have run out of ammo or a malfunction has rendered the firearm unable to continue firing, being able to fix the problem utilizing one hand is no simple feat. The ARC acts as a second hand to easily cycle the slide as well as hold the firearm in a location which can be accessed from either side.
When/why would I only have 1 hand to fix the weapon? This question that is often overlooked or dismissed with, "That won't happen to me.". Here are a few realistic scenario's:
* you are injured (shot/cut) in 1 arm but CAN still fight with the other
* you don't have the physical dexterity/mobility to utilize both arms, past injury or physical limitation
* as you have gotten older, you have lost range of motion/strength
* you are holding onto your child/loved one
* you are either holding the weapon of an attacker or keeping them at a safe distance from continuing to attack you
* this list can go on forever, but if you think you could fall into one of these scenario's then why not set yourself up with every chance of success that you can?
The ARC is made of 2 separate pieces of 0.080" OR 0.125" thick Kydex. The edges have a matte finish, this is to reduce the amount of light reflection given off by the carrier. Remember we don't want to create any unwanted attention to the carrier. Depending on the configuration of the kydex plates, you can choose between multiple mounting options. The rear plate utilizes a sloped ramp to guide the barrel where it needs to go. And with 4 separate points of retention, the user can fine tune the retention of the carrier to their satisfaction.
